Tony Jewelry

A luxury e-commerce experience that feels as premium as the jewelry it sells.

A luxury brand without a digital presence

Tony Jewelry is a luxury jewelry brand with a loyal customer base built through in-person sales and word of mouth. But without an online storefront, the brand was invisible to the growing market of customers who research and buy jewelry online. Competitors with inferior products but better websites were capturing that demand.

The challenge was not just building a website. It was creating a digital experience that matched the craftsmanship and exclusivity of the jewelry itself. Template-based e-commerce solutions looked generic and failed to convey the brand's premium positioning. The client also needed bilingual support (English and Spanish) to serve their diverse customer base.

A custom storefront built for luxury

We designed and built a fully custom e-commerce platform from the ground up. No templates, no Shopify themes — a bespoke storefront tailored to Tony Jewelry's brand identity. The design emphasizes product photography with generous whitespace, subtle animations, and a color palette that reinforces the luxury positioning.

The frontend is built with React for a smooth, app-like browsing experience. The backend runs on FastAPI, handling product management, inventory, order processing, and payment integration. Every page is responsive and performs well on mobile — where the majority of luxury e-commerce traffic comes from.

"The website needed to feel like walking into a high-end jewelry store. Clean, quiet, with the product as the hero. That's what we delivered."

Lean, fast, and reliable

React FastAPI Stripe PostgreSQL Docker Nginx Hetzner Cloud Cloudflare
  • Frontend: React with custom component library. Lazy-loaded images for fast page loads, smooth transitions between product views, and a mobile-first responsive layout.
  • Backend: FastAPI handling product CRUD, inventory management, order lifecycle, and Stripe webhook processing. All endpoints validated with Pydantic models.
  • Payments: Stripe integration with support for credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Secure checkout with PCI-compliant token-based payment flow.
  • Infrastructure: Dockerized on Hetzner Cloud with Nginx, automated SSL via Cloudflare, and CDN caching for product images.

Built for buyers

  • High-resolution product catalog: Each piece is showcased with multiple angles, zoom capability, and detailed descriptions including materials, dimensions, and care instructions.
  • Multi-payment support: Stripe-powered checkout accepting Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. One-click purchase for returning customers.
  • Bilingual interface (EN/ES): Full translation across every page, product description, checkout flow, and transactional email. Language detection based on browser preference with manual toggle.
  • Responsive design: Optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Product images scale gracefully, navigation adapts, and the checkout process is designed for thumb-friendly interaction on small screens.
  • Product filtering and search: Browse by collection, material (gold, silver, platinum), price range, and jewelry type. Real-time search with instant results.
  • Order management: Customers can track orders, view purchase history, and manage their saved addresses. Admin panel for inventory updates, order fulfillment, and sales analytics.

Live and selling

Tony Jewelry launched at tony-jewelry.com and immediately gave the brand the digital presence it needed. The bilingual interface opened the store to both English and Spanish-speaking customers without maintaining two separate sites.

The platform processes real orders with Stripe, manages inventory in real-time, and provides the owner with a clear admin dashboard for business operations. The luxury feel of the brand translates perfectly from the physical store to the digital experience.
